Laboratories

The College has six well-equipped laboratories in Educational Technology, Geography, Bio-Science, ICT, Psychology and Language. As Educational Technology is an emerging subject both at the U.G. and P.G. levels, a well-equipped Educational Technology laboratory with sophisticated equipments, has been set up in the college. The psychological lab cum learning resource centre is equipped with more than 100 numbers of tests, inventories, scales (verbal, non-verbal and performance) on intelligence test, achievement, creative thinking, motivation, personality, attitude and aptitude, etc. The Bio-Science Laboratory has been well furnished to accommodate 30 students for their practicals.

Wall magazine & bulletin

The College publishes wall magazine and quarterly bulletins. It helps young talents to blossom and share their understanding on the topics of concerned courses and on emerging concepts in education. To give a boost to the creative talents of the students, the college also publishes Research Abstracts of M.Ed., students on the topic selected for dissertation and Learning Materials prepared by faculty for the content enrichment. The College also publishes a Quarterly research journal entitled “SIMPRA International Journal of Educational Research ” catering to the needs and requirements of B.Ed. students as well as faculties of Social Sciences. The membership fee for the same is Rs. 1000/- (one thousand only) per individual per year and institutional membership fee is 1500/- (Fifteen hundred) plus Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) as postal charge per annum.

Alumini association

The function of the Alumni association is to suggest for the improvement of the institution and the areas in which they can contribute for qualitative improvement in the system of education. The meeting of the Alumni Association is held twice in a year where records of Alumni, occupying prominent positions are recorded along with their experience in the development of competency at the institution. Suggestions are sought for active functioning of Alumni Association. The following are the Office bearers of the association.

Infomation Bureau

There is placement cell in the college where a teacher assigns with providing requisite information for different type of job in the field of teaching. The cell provides counseling to the students for placement indifferent govt. and non govt. organization by inviting appropriate authorities for recruitment.

Infrastucture

The infrastructure includes eight numbers of classrooms, Boys’ and Girls’ common room, two multipurpose halls accommodating more than 250 students at a time with facilities of projects, store room, visitors room, Art and Craft resource centre, Health and Physical Education room, ICT Laboratory, Education Technology laboratory, Geography Laboratory, Bioscience Laboratory, Psychological laboratory, and Language laboratory along with a Digital library. There is also the provision of smart room as per the requirement due to the innovation of science and technology.

Hostel accomadation

Two separate hostels for both ladies and gents are available for students under the direct control and management of the institution. Students can book the seat by paying Rs.15,000/- (Twenty five thousand) only for the entire course. Mess is managed by the students by constituting mess committees. Electricity charges of the hostel are included in the mess accounts. All outstation students should remain in the hostel.

Library

The college has well equipped library and reading room with more than 7000 reference and recommended books with 3000. This includes both Indian and foreign publications. There are 27 national and international journals subscribed by the college out of which 20 are educational journals, 9 peer reviewed journals, along with 20 DVDs for operation of INFLIBNET soul 2.0. Thus the need of keeping students abreast of the latest development in the field of education, behavioral sciences, technology and general knowledge is fulfilled.

Sports facilities

All types of indoor and outdoor sports are provided including Cricket, Football, Chess, Table Tennis, Carom Board etc. for the students’ engagement on spare times.
